Prohibited Articles List
Federal and/or international laws, for reasons of safety, or other considerations, restrict or prohibit the shipment of (including, but not limited to):
- PYROTECHNICS,AMMUNITION & WEAPONS
Knives, guns, etc. (some of these may be legal in the US but are prohibited for import into, or export from certain foreign countries)
- AEROSOL CANS
Hair spray, dulling spray, “Dust-off”, spray adhesives, aerosol shaving creams, aerosol, insect repellents, etc.
- FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
Oil-based paints, lighter fluid, certain types of perfume, nail polish, etc.
- SOLVENTS
Acetone, thinners, etc.
- PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCTS
Gasoline or diesel powered engines, generators, compressors, etc.
- ALKALINE BATTERIES
Wet batteries, etc.
- COMPRESSED GASES
Oxygen, nitrogen, acetylene, etc.
- ANIMAL PRODUCTS
Meat, dairy products, vegetable produce & products, certain skins, feathers, furs, plants, etc.
If any of the above-mentioned items are not declared, and are detected by either the airline, or any other carrier, it will jeopardize the timely movement of the entire shipment. The shipper is also liable to heavy penalties and/or the confiscation of the entire shipment.
In the event that any crew member, or department, needs to ship any of the above prohibited items, production should contact MPA to determine whether: The item is obtainable at your destination OR If the item can be sent legally with appropriate packing and/or permits
